July 3rd Fishing Report

July 3, 2019

WE ARE OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK @ 8 AM

PMD's, Drakes, Small Stone Flies, Caddis and more have all been producing consistent fishing on the Bitterroot River. This is the always the most predictable time of year to fish this great freestone river. Hungry fish and lots of bugs have been putting lots of smiles on anglers faces lately. The current flow on the West Fork of the Bitterroot is 220 CFS and Darby is hovering aroung 970 CFS. Plenty of water to float or wade fish. The fish are spread out right now and you'll find em hugging the bank and staged in the mid river lanes. There really is not a bad place to fish right now. The entire river is giving up good to great fishing on any given day.  Be safe, there is still some tricky spots on the river.

HOT FLIES:

#10-16 Purple Haze

#10-16 Brindle Chute

#10-12 Green Drake Cripple

#10-14 Plan "B"

#12-14 Elk Hair Caddis

#12-14 Golden Anorexic Chubby
